SaveIt ("we," "us," "our," or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

Saved Items: When you save content from other apps (URLs, text, titles, descriptions), we store this information locally on your device.
Tags and Categories: You may manually add or edit tags and categories to organize your saved items.
Search Queries: Any searches you perform within the App are processed locally and not transmitted to our servers.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

Device Information: We do not collect device identifiers, device type, or operating system information for tracking purposes.
Usage Analytics: We do not currently collect usage analytics or crash reporting data.
Local Storage: The App uses your device's local storage (AsyncStorage) to persist your saved items and preferences.

1.3 Third-Party Services

Claude API: When you save an item, we send the item's title, URL, and platform to Anthropic's Claude API to automatically categorize and tag the content. This data is processed for categorization purposes only. Refer to Anthropic's Privacy Policy for details.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the App's core functionality (saving, organizing, and retrieving content).
To generate automatic categorization and tags using AI.
To improve the App's performance and user experience.
To comply with legal obligations.

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Local Storage

All of your saved items, tags, and categories are stored exclusively on your device using encrypted local storage. We do not transmit this data to our servers or cloud services, except for the categorization API call described above.

3.2 Data Security

While we implement reasonable security measures to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Your Control: You have full control over your data. You can delete individual items or clear all data at any time through the App's settings.
Data Deletion: When you delete an item or clear all data, it is permanently removed from your device.
No Server Backup: Since your data is stored only on your device, deleting the App will remove all associated data unless you have created a local backup.

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not share your saved items with anyone except Anthropic (Claude API) for the limited purpose of categorization, as described above.

6. Third-Party Links

The App may contain links to third-party websites and services that are not operated by us. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.
